We have chosen a type of strawberry called Cambridge Favourite. It is the number one choice for many years. This main-season strawberry produces a bumper crop of juicy orange-red fruits with an excellent flavour and texture. Ripening midseason, it is one of the heaviest cropping varieties available and can be relied on to crop well under a wide range of weather conditions.
 
We have bought just 100 plants for ourselves and customers. You have to buy bare root strawberries if you want a crop that year, growing from seed requires two seasons before you get a crop. 
We have then quarantined the plants and made sure that there are no predators on the plants. 
We are confident therefore that they are good for growing indoors. 
 
The plants will come in a netcup with the bottom removed and secured in place. You just need to drop them into an open port.
